Penn Women’s Center

One of Penn’s six cultural resource centers, the mission of the Penn Women’s Center is to promote gender justice, and to empower, support, and advance personal and professional development.

The Penn Women’s Center (PWC), Penn’s oldest resource center, works with students, staff, and faculty of all genders to promote gender equity on campus and beyond. PWC hosts events celebrating women artists, activists, and academics as well as political and professional leaders. In partnership with student groups, PWC plays an advocacy role on issues such as reproductive justice, workplace equity, sexual violence, discrimination, and harassment. It also provides confidential options counseling open to all members of the Penn community. PWC offers a welcoming space in the heart of campus for students to study, relax, host events, or team up for civic engagement projects.

Services offered at the Penn’s Women’s Center include:

  • Confidential options counseling
  • Lactation resources
  • On-Campus Community spaces (Environmental Education Kitchen, Lactation Room, Terrace Garden & BBQ, Multimedia Lending Library, assorted meeting rooms)
  • Virtual community spaces
