Transfer Applications
Each year approximately 200 students transfer into Penn's four undergraduate schools, selected from about 2,000 applicants.
The decision to transfer is a difficult one... and we have compiled this information to answer your questions about the transfer program at Penn. Students with a variety of educational backgrounds ranging from community college programs, state schools, private liberal arts colleges, as well as other Ivy League institutions, seek transfer admission to the University of Pennsylvania. Some have found interests that their present institutions cannot satisfy. Many are drawn by the diversity of the course offerings, students, and cultural opportunities available at Penn and in the community-at-large. All seek intellectual challenge and are intrigued by the depth and breath of academic opportunity at Penn.
