Applying: Requirements and Process for Freshman
Thank you for your interest in the University of Pennsylvania. To apply to Penn, you must complete and submit both the Common Application and the Penn Writing Supplement.

The Common Application can be found here. This application is for freshmen, international and transfer applicants.

Early Decision (ED) Agreement (only for Early Decision applicants)
Application Fee Waiver
Application Fee Waivers can be requested through the Common Application website.

Required of ALL Applicants:
Penn Writing Supplement
SAT and two SAT Subject Tests OR ACT Plus Writing
SAT: Penn's code is 2926.
ACT: Penn's code is 3732.
All official secondary school transcripts
Two Academic Teacher Evaluations
School Report and Counselor Letter
Midyear Report (not required if admitted to Penn Early Decision)
Required for some applicants:
