Early Decision Deferred Students

If you are currently enrolled in high school/secondary school, you will be required to submit a Mid-Year report to update our office on your recent academic performance in school. Your school counselor should submit the Mid-Year Report to us through the Common Application website by February 15.

If you have additional information that sheds new light on your candidacy, you may submit an update by using the Early Decision Deferred Applicant Update link in the forms section of your Penn Applicant Portal. Our form will only allow you to submit an update once, so we recommend you take time to collect any new information or recognition you may have earned since submitting your Early Decision application, and upload one comprehensive document in mid-February.

Regular Decision

Documents submitted by teachers and counselors will be attached to an application as they are received. Materials can take up to three weeks to process.

Financial Aid application questions can be directed to Student Financial Services.

Helpful Tips:

  • To be considered for admission, an applicant must submit both the Common Application and Penn Writing Supplement.
  • Once you have submitted the Common Application and Penn Writing Supplement, you will receive login information within 48 hours to be able to submit the Penn Financial Aid Application
  • Should you need assistance submitting the Common Application and Penn Writing Supplement, contact the Applicant Help Center.
  • Questions after the submission of the Common Application should be directed to eapps@admissions.upenn.edu.
  • Send application documents directly to documents@admissions.upenn.edu. This email address is ONLY to be used for submitting documents for attachment to your application record. All required documents need to be sent from your school official's email address.
