Transfer Applicants
It may take up to 48 hours to update receipt of the Common Application, Penn Writing Supplement, and documents submitted online through the Common Application. For all other documents, please allow 3 weeks for receipt to be posted on your Applicant Portal. We are not able to confirm receipt of non-required or supplementary materials.

Please note: we only accept official transcripts and recommendations directly from your schools and evaluators. We do not accept screenshots, print-outs, or other unofficial versions directly from applicants. Test scores must be sent directly by the testing agency.

Financial Aid application questions can be directed to Student Financial Services.


Helpful Tips:

  • To be considered for admission, an applicant must submit both the Common Application and Penn Writing Supplement.
  • Once you have submitted the Common Application and Penn Writing Supplement, you will receive login information within 48 hours to be able to submit the Penn Financial Aid Application
  • Should you need assistance submitting the Common Application and Penn Writing Supplement, contact the Applicant Help Center.
  • Questions after the submission of the Common Application should be directed to eapps@admissions.upenn.edu.
  • Send application documents directly to documents@admissions.upenn.edu. This email address is ONLY to be used for submitting documents for attachment to your application record. All required documents need to be sent from your school official's email address.
