MyApplicant Portal allows you to track the receipt of your Common Application and Penn Writing Supplement.
You will receive two emails from us in 4 to 5 days after you submit your application. One includes the username and the other your password to grant access to the MyApplicant Portal.

We have completed the first round of follow-ups for Early Decision applicants who are missing documents. Please be sure to check the spam filters on your email account. We will be in touch if we are still missing documents.
To be considered for admission, an applicant must submit both the Common Application and Penn Writing Supplement.
Do not wait to submit your Common Application. If you have difficulty submitting your application on the first attempt, please continue to try or contact the Applicant Help Center.
The irregular formatting of the essays will in no way affect the careful review of your application.
Questions after the submission of the Common Application, including access to the MyApplicant Portal should be directed to email@example.com or phone: 215-898-7507.
As Common Application works through the launch of CA4, please visit the Known Issues and Progress Updates page.

To apply to Penn, please go to the Common Application. Create a Common App account and add Penn to "My Colleges".

Penn Writing Supplement Essay Prompt for entry Fall 2014:
“The Admissions Committee would like to learn why you are a good fit for your undergraduate school choice (College of Arts and Sciences, School of Nursing, The Wharton School, or Penn Engineering). Please tell us about specific academic, service, and/or research opportunities at the University of Pennsylvania that resonate with your background, interests, and goals." 400-650 words

Receipt of Early Decision application documents
We continue to receive a large volume of application materials and require time to process these documents. We appreciate your patience, and ask that you do not contact us to check on the receipt of your school forms and recommendations.
Please be assured that we will contact you directly if we are missing documents.

Financial Aid Deadline for Early Decision Applicants
Early Decision applicants are encouraged to submit their financial aid forms as soon as possible. Every financial aid application is reviewed on an individual basis to fairly assess what a family can afford to pay toward education. Student Financial Services will accept forms and evaluate financial aid applications at any time.
Students admitted to Penn who apply for financial aid by November 18, 2013 will not be asked to accept an offer of admission until they receive an official response to their financial aid application.

In the event that you are applying Early Decision to the University of Pennsylvania, we are reaching out to encourage you to submit both The Common Application and Penn Writing Supplement by Friday, November 1.
If you are experiencing technical issues, take a deep breath and clear your head. Please be assured that Penn’s Office of Admissions understands that students have encountered problems submitting application materials, and we will continue to accept Early Decision applications and school materials through Monday, November 11.
The Questbridge applicant deadline remains Monday, November 4.
Should you encounter difficulties submitting your application through The Common Application, please email us at -- email@example.com -- so we are aware of your Early Decision interest and issues with your application submission. Please reference your Name and Common Application ID in the subject line of the email. In addition, you need to contact The Common Application directly to resolve the issue.
